"Creation" features music selected by Keith Jarrett from his improvised solo concerts recorded in 2014 in Japan, Canada, and Europe. Where in the past the solo documentation has shown the improvisational process unfolding over the course of a single evening, this time Jarrett zeroes in on the most revelatory moments from six concerts in Tokyo, Toronto, Paris and Rome and shapes a new dramaturgy from the intuitive sequencing of the material. With this rewarding departure, Keith Jarrett gives us here the most up-to-the minute account of his spontaneously created music.

The Jazz Messengers was a group of young musicians organized by Art Blakey to both inspire and mentor young jazz players, as well as to keep Blakey inspired and full of new ideas. The group went on to serve as a training ground for such luminaries as Hank Mobley and Wynton Marsalis. Hard Drive was recorded in 1957 and was originally released on the Bethlehem label.

The New Orleans brass band continuum stretches from the 19th century through to the present in a tradition passed on from father to son through the generations. Hired to accompany funerals, ceremonies, and street festivals, the music these bands played “just touch your heart, they were so beautiful”, reminisced Louis Armstrong. This album has all the ‘live’ exuberance of a N.O. street parade and features a cross-section of classic brass band repertoire – the religious hymn Glory Land the upbeat the funeral dirges, Leave Me Lord Me and In the Upper Garden, the folksy Lilly of the Valley and the up-beat jazzy pieces We Shall Walk Through the Streets, Take Your Burden to the Lord, Shake It and Break It and Olympia Special. A classic of the genre.

The threesome released two albums together, "Trio" (1987) and "Trio II" (1999), which have combined to sell more than five million copies worldwide and win three Grammy Awards. Both of these classic albums have been newly remastered for a three-CD collection packed with rare and unreleased music produced by Harris. The bonus disc is loaded with 20 songs, including alternate takes and completely unreleased recordings from the trio spanning both album sessions.

Right On is Wilson Pickett’s stunning 1970 studio recording. Proclaimed by Rolling Stone as one of the “100 Greatest Singers of All Time,” Pickett howls on tunes including “You Keep Me Hangin’ On,” “Funky Way,” “It’s Still Good” and “Sugar Sugar”. Right On charted on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard’s Top R&B Albums.

With the music scene rapidly evolving, Wilson Pickett delivered a versatile outing with the release of "Hey Jude". Produced by the legendary Rick Hall, the work incorporates some of rock’s finest tunes including “Born To Be Wild” and the Lennon & McCartney classic, “Hey Jude”. Displayed with funky arrangements, Pickett is joined by one of Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”, Duane Allman. Found here is material penned by greats including Bobby Womack, Raymond Moore, Isaac Hayes and David Porter. Hey Jude remains another accomplishment in an illustrious career.

Named after the Greek goddess of hunting and the wilderness, The Artemis Quartett was formed in 1989 in Lübeck, Germany. They are recognized for their chamber music repertoire, most notably Beethoven’s string quartets and are considered to be one of the foremost string quartets in the world. Originally founded by four students of chamber music at Lübeck Conservatory, they came to international prominence when they won first prize at the ARD Wettbewerb in 1996, followed by another first prize at the Premio Borciani six months later. They were invited to the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, where they were able to expand their musical studies. In 1999, the Artemis Quartett made their debut at the Berlin Philharmonie, which led to the ensemble performing at international festivals all over the world. As the years progressed, the members of the quartet would change, but their performances and recordings continued to enchant critics and music lovers alike. The Artemis Quartett has performed with a variety of artists including Sabine Meyer, Elisabeth Leonskaya, Juliane Banse and Jörg Widmann. The Artemis Quartett’s recorded output includes releases such as Mozart: Flötenquartette (1997), Wolf, Zemlinsky, Webern & Berg: Streichquartett (1997), Beethoven: String Quartets Op. 95 & 59/1 (2005), Verklärte Nacht (2006), and Shostakovich (2019). The quartet has received many awards and accolades over the years including winning the Echo Klassik, Gramophone Award and the Diapason d’or for some of their recorded works.

'Happy Apples’ presents a collection of improvised duo exchanges between legendary free jazz vocalist Julie Tippetts, whose spell-binding vocals intermingle perfectly with saxophonist Kevin Figes’ atmospheric playing. Both musicians supplement the recording with an array of percussive devices, including the quirky tinkling 1970s toy that lends the album its name. The epic opening track “The Third Harmony” sets the mood for the recording as Tippetts displays a dazzling array of vocal techniques throughout, with Figes switching to flute and percussion accompaniment. Other tracks involve strange sounds - a crackling transistor radio, squeaking plastic chicken and toy duck that complement the traditional instruments and Julie’s voice, which is the most powerful and striking of them all.

Skeletons from the Closet: The Best of Grateful Dead is the first compilation album from rock band the Grateful Dead. It was originally released in February 1974. As with other such packages, the album was a way for Warner Bros. Records to capitalize on the Dead's back catalog after the band had left the label. It was followed three years later by a second compilation, What a Long Strange Trip It's Been.
