Dead & Company is an American jam band consisting of former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir (guitar), Mickey Hart (drums), and Bill Kreutzmann (drums), along with John Mayer (guitar), Oteil Burbridge (bass/drums), and Jeff Chimenti (keyboards). The band continues the strong live tradition of the Grateful Dead, creating unforgettable experiences at their shows, no two performances being alike.

Originally released in 1960, "Byrd In Flight" features performances by trumpeter Donald Byrd with Hank Mobley (tenor saxophone) Duke Pearson (piano) Doug Watkins (bass) Lex Humphries (drums). Some tracks feature Reggie Workman instead of Doug Watkins on bass.

"Life Flight" is a later album by Freddie Hubbard and was recorded in 1987, when the trumpeter was 48 years old. Still in peak form, the album is an excellent example of Hubbard's musicianship and mastery of his instrument. Recorded in New York City in 1987 with two different bands, a sextet and a quartet. Among the notable members of the sextet on the first two tracks are Stanley Turrentine on tenor saxophone and George Benson on guitar. Ralph Moore handles tenor sax duties on the quartet tracks, both Freddie Hubbard originals. This album has been called one of Hubbard's last great releases.

"Double Take", a collaborative album featuring trumpeters Freddie Hubbard and Woody Shaw, was originally released by Blue Note in 1985. The record includes original works by Hubbard and Shaw as well as covers by Lee Morgan, Clifford Brown and others. Double Take has appearances by musicians: Cecil McBee, Carl Allen, Mulgrew Miller and Kenny Garrett.

The second of two historic 1980s albums starring innovative trumpeters Freddie Hubbard and Woody Shaw, this hard bop session also showcases Kenny Garrett on alto saxophone and flute, Mulgrew Miller on piano, Ray Drummond on bass and Carl Allen on drums. The album draws its title from one of the tracks, a cover of Sonny Stitt's 1957 song.

As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls is a collaborative album by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, released in 1981. The title makes reference to Wichita, Kansas and Wichita Falls, Texas. The title tune is just under 21 minutes.

Dylan & the Dead is a collaborative live album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead, released on February 6, 1989, by Columbia Records. The album consists of seven songs written and sung by Dylan, with the Grateful Dead providing accompaniment. The album was produced by Jerry Garcia and John Cutler.

Leopold Anthony Stokowski (18 April 1882 – 13 September 1977) was a British conductor. One of the leading conductors of the early and mid-20th century, he is best known for his long association with the Philadelphia Orchestra and his appearance in the Disney film Fantasia with that orchestra. He was especially noted for his free-hand conducting style that spurned the traditional baton and for obtaining a characteristically sumptuous sound from the orchestras he directed.

Shinedown is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida formed by singer Brent Smith in 2001. This 14-track album, Shinedown's most raw and personal to date, is a mental, emotional and physical journey that follows an individual from life's lowest lows to the highest highs as anxieties dissipate and demons disappear.
