McCartney III is the 18th solo album by English musician Paul McCartney, released on 18 December 2020 by Capitol Records.

The potential for a collaboration between B.B. King and Eric Clapton is enormous, of course, and the real questions concern how it is organized and executed. This first recorded pairing between the 74-year-old King and the 55-year-old Clapton was put together in the most obvious way: Clapton arranged the session using many of his regular musicians, picked the songs, and co-produced with his partner Simon Climie. That ought to mean that King would be a virtual guest star rather than earning a co-billing, but because of Clapton's respect for his elder, it nearly works the other way around.

Koto are an Italian disco group that originally consisted of Anfrando Maiola and Stefano Cundari. The duo got together in 1982 and the following year released their debut single 'Chinese Revenge' on Memory Records, a label that they founded in the same year. Prior to this, in 1988, they released 'Dragon's Legend' a single that used samples from the Rick Dyer and Don Bluth Cinematronics videogame 'Dragon's Lair'. By 1990, Memory Records was running into problems with its finances, so its catalogue was sold to ZYX Records and the original Koto line-up went their separate ways. This resulted in the release of a series of remixes by Michiel van der Kuy hitting the market throughout the 1990s. In 2001 Maiola was able to buy back the Koto name and catalogue and along with Roberto Bisca and Alex Cundari released new music.

After 20 successful years in Germany, where he rose above all in the 1950s with his "New Jazz Stars" to the scene central figure, the Viennese saxophonist Hans Koller returned to his hometown in 1970 and concentrated here above all on his new, free jazz-oriented "Free Sound"band with young musicians.

Roots is Ventus Machina's second full length album. Robert Ballard was one of the most famous lutenist-composers of the first decades of the seventeenth century, during which the lute was the favored instrument of the Parisian aristocracy and upper bourgeoisie.

In 2000, you would have been hard-pressed to find a more lowdown blues-oriented recording than singer/guitarist Doug MacLeod's Whose Truth, Whose Lies?, which should appeal to anyone who likes his/her blues dark, shadowy, and moody. This isn't an album that tries to win you over with slickness; whether MacLeod is going electric or acoustic, he obviously identifies with the simplicity and honesty that characterized the country blues artists of the '30s and '40s. Not that Whose Truth, Whose Lies? sounds like a recording from that time. MacLeod's lyrics obviously aren't pre-World War II lyrics, and he has been influenced by soul, rock, and folk as well as country and urban blues. Not everything on this superb album adheres to a 12-bar format, and some of the tunes fall into the folk category. But even when he is getting into a folk or R&B groove, MacLeod can always be counted on to provide a wealth of blues feeling. Whose Truth, Whose Lies? may not be the work of a purist, but it is certainly compelling.
