This 2-part special event features the most critical military operation of World War II. For the 70th anniversary (June 2014), D-DAY: Lost Films presents this iconic battle using newly discovered colour footage, much of which has never been seen. For the first time, viewers can see the largest amphibious assault in history entirely in newly transferred colour HD - 5,000 Allied ships landing over 160,000 soldiers across a 50 mile stretch of Normandy beaches. Despite the name, "D-Day" was not a single day. In the week following June 6, the outcome hung in the balance, with shifting progress and set-backs for both sides. It is estimated that 10,000 men died in combat, the majority during the days after the landing. As Allied forces pushed inland to capture surrounding Nazis-occupied French towns, all were aware the outcome would determine how the war would end.

David Sweat escaped the maximum security Clinton Correctional Facility on June 6, along with fellow prisoner Richard Matt. The two had been on the run for nearly three weeks when Matt was shot dead by authorities. The search for Sweat continued for another two days, when a New York State Police trooper with a keen eye noticed a man resembling Sweat walking close to the Canadian border. When the trooper, a trained firearms instructor, yelled for the man to stop, he turned and ran. The trooper realized the man was Sweat, dropped to one knee and fired his handgun, striking Sweat twice in the torso. Once in custody, Sweat began sharing with authorities key information about the great prison escape and the manhunt that followed.

Chicago hotel clerk Frank Harris dreams of life as a cowboy, and he gets his chance when, jilted by the father of the woman he loves

Denis is distracted: he's studying all day for philosophy exams and working all night at the flower market; plus, whenever he closes his eyes, he dreams of a mysterious woman in white. His girlfriend Nina is annoyed at him for his inattention, so she steps out behind his back with a friend of his. One night, while napping at the flower mart, he pursues the mystery woman in what he thinks is a dream, and finds himself with her in a restaurant with her father and her fiancé, then on to a magic shop, the Louvre, a nightclub, and a mental asylum. During the night, he discovers a plot against her, and still believing it's a dream, goes to great lengths to try to save her.

In a game of hide-and-seek with his wife, Mao suddenly decides to leave home. He moves in with Xiao Ri, an acquaintance living in the small town of Liaocheng and the two of them embark on a routine of weird amorous encounters. Mao questions all of his former life and tries to establish a kind of family with his friend. But there is no logical explanation for the strange behavior of both men.

A Scientist, experimenting with telekinetic powers enhanced by a nearby nuclear power plant succeeds in creating a new form of life. This new creature grows in intelligence until it finally escapes his laboratory. Once outside the lab, and closer to its nuclear power source it multiplies. The creature is also invisible, so no one knows what it looks like…

Set in the early 1930s, a young man finds a job as a dishwasher in a hotel and quickly works his way up the ladder. Loosely based on the novel by Henryk Worcell.
