Homage to Austrian composers featured the renowned Brazilian pianists Cristian Budu and Gustavo Carvalho and will be released on March 31 on all digital platforms.

The excellence and versatility that mark the trajectory of the Ouro Preto Orchestra are once again sung in the newest project by the group from Minas Gerais, which imprints its signature on the interpretation of the work of two of the greatest composers of all time: Haydn and Mozart. With the luxurious participation of renowned Brazilian pianists Cristian Budu and Gustavo Carvalho, the record, recorded at the Great Theater of Palácio das Artes, goes public on March 31, with release on all digital platforms and international distribution by Naxos, more valuable stamp dedicated to concert music.

The choice for these two icons of world music in this new work was not random. Maestro Rodrigo Toffolo defines the two geniuses as “cornerstones in the formation of an Orchestra, where technical and musical challenges are almost obligatory paths in the development of an artistic group”.

Contemporary and representatives of European classicism, the composers now gain the colors and notes of the Orchestra, in interpretations of Mozart's “Concert for two pianos, K.365” (1756-1791), and “Symphony nº 44 'Trauer'” , by Haydn (1732-1809). Maestro Rodrigo Toffolo was very pleased with the project, not only for registering with the musicians works he has admired since childhood, but also because, in his words, “recording teaches us a lot. We always come out better than we went in.”

In front of an excellent formation, Cristian Budu and Gustavo Carvalho perform, side by side, the “Concerto for two pianos, K.365”, the only one written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for two pianos and orchestra. Partners from Minas Gerais training in other projects, the two pianists had, on this recording, the opportunity to meet again and prove the musical harmony between them.
