The fourth disc by composer Iraida Yusupova presents two large works performed by brilliant soloists and musicians.Tracklist:
The cantata Song of the Petrel, or the Impossible in Translation into the words of Maxim Gorky (in two languages - in the original and translated into Italian) is a joint creative project of director Andrei Silvestrov, composer Iraida Yusupova and the Russian-Italian festival Gorky Prize. For the first time, the work was presented to the audience at the Gorky Prize festival on the island of Capri in June 2014. The Moscow premiere took place at the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre in September 2015. At the same time, a studio recording of the music of the cantata took place in the studio of the VGTRK Culture.
Within the framework of the VII Gorky Prize Festival on the island of Capri, on October 5, 2015, the media requiem by Andrey Silvestrov and Iraida Yusupova based on the book of the Italian poet Franco Arminio “Postcards from the Other World” was presented. Their multimedia compositions used the text of the book in the original and translated into Russian by Gennady Kiselev, as well as the performance of the translator himself. The premiere took place in the main hall of the former convent, now the museum complex of Certosa di San Giacomo. The studio version of the project appeared in the spring of 2016 "
