This bedroom is making my eyes hurt just looking at it… I have been wanting to get into beach bunny for an ungodly amount of time, and I never got a chance to listen to an entire album of theirs. I've heard a lot of their big singles over the years, and I've enjoyed them quite a bit! I really like their very smooth and fun brand of indie pop and rock with some pretty strong choruses on some tracks, giving some strong power pop vibes a lot of the time. So given all that, I was curious to see what this album would be like, and to be honest, it's alright! It's nothing mind-blowing, and I definitely think there are many more artists pulling off this indie sound much better and with more personality, but regardless, it's still a fun time all around.

I think my biggest problem here is that the band just kind of sticks with this same formula without much in the way of dynamics or switch-ups. Of course that's not to say they have any bad songs or that they aren't special, but I feel like they could be much more special had they actually developed a little more. But regardless, this is still a decent time for the most part. You've got some rather ok tracks that don't leave much of an impression on me like "Mr. Predictable" and "Big Pink Bubble", as well as the track "Violence", which I found to be such a weird track for the band as a whole. But outside of that, there were some pretty cool tracks here to take note of!, most of which come around the middle!! You've got "Tunnel Vision", which has one of the more solid choruses on here, and a song structure that, while very simple, is still pretty effective for the most part. It's a solid track overall, and I really like the vocals here and how they sync up with the drums quite a bit too. There's also "Clueless", which is probably my favorite track here. It's not only got my favorite hook here, but a solid groove and vibe to it that stands out much more than the other tracks here. It feels a lot more emotional in a way, which I really like. It makes for an interesting track for the band imo, and definitely the best here. You've also got "Vertigo" and "Chasm", two tracks that have oddly similar vibes to them for some reason, and I like them for similar reasons. Solid hook, cool guitar work, nice vocals, just about everything these guys need for a quality song. They may not be much to write home about, but they're still fun overall.

Outside of those tracks, everything else here is fine for the most part. Either above average or just some ok and inoffensive indie pop and rock that is fine while it's on. That's really the vibe I get from this overall. Besides some genuine highlights, it's fine. It's nothing super boring, but it is kind of one-dimensional and hits the same beat enough times to make it all feel a little bland. I do wish the band did a little more to stand out other than just having a very summery indie vibe, because there are countless other bands that can fit that mold and still come through with a more compelling and interesting sound. I haven't heard their other albums yet, so this could just be them painting themselves in a corner even more, but I do hope to see them expand their sound a little more in the future. But either way, this is still some decent indie rock and pop overall!! Nothing super crazy, but still a fun time regardless! Some solid bops to be has for sure. Nothing more, nothing less.
