Callen Radcliffe "Cal" Tjader, Jr. was an American Latin jazz musician, known as the most successful non-Latino Latin musician. He explored other jazz idioms, even as he continued to perform the music of Cuba, the Caribbean, and Latin America for the rest of his life. Tjader played the vibraphone primarily. He was accomplished on the drums, bongos, congas, timpani, and the piano.

Known primarily for orchestral versions of contemporary pop songs, Ray Conniff's recordings during the late 1960s and early 1970s by himself and as Ray Conniff and the Singers included many straightforward recordings of current pop hits. Lush Life: The Music of Billy Strayhorn is an album by jazz saxophonist Joe Henderson. Composed of songs written by Billy Strayhorn, the album was a critical and commercial success, leading to the first of three Grammy Awards Henderson would receive while under contract with Verve Records. The album had sold nearly 90,000 copies at the time of Henderson's death in 2001 and has been re-released by Verve, Polygram, and in hybrid SACD format by Universal.

"Gilberto with Turrentine" is an album by Brazilian samba and bossa nova singer Astrud Gilberto and American saxophonist Stanley Turrentine featuring performances recorded in 1971 released on the CTI label. The Allmusic review calls it a "set that had some mildly entertaining moments".

Idris Muhammad (Arabic: إدريس محمد‎‎; born Leo Morris) was an American jazz drummer who recorded extensively with many musicians, including Ahmad Jamal, Lou Donaldson, Pharoah Sanders, and Tete Montoliu. "House of the Rising Sun" is his 1976 album, originally released on Kudu Records, subsidiary label of CTI Records, specialized in soul jazz artists.

"Hey!" is an album by Julio Iglesias released in 1980 by Columbia Records. The album hit number one worldwide, and sales of the Spanish version purportedly surpassed 20 million. In 1981, Iglesias was nominated for a Grammy Award for this album under the Latin Pop Album category.

It will take only one listen for the love-struck title track to tattoo itself onto your brain, before the whack-a-mole rhythms and grinding synths of “High on Humans” are wrangled into a euphoric head-rush of a chorus.
