The Wonder of You is a sequel in the truest sense: it delivers more of the same thing that made the 2015 album If I Can Dream into a surprise hit around the globe. The gimmick behind both of the albums is taking original Elvis Presley vocal performances and setting them to brand-new orchestral arrangements from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The Wonder of You isn't as splashy as its predecessor, lacking duets with Michael Bublé and Il Volo (the bonus track, "Just Pretend," does feature Helene Fischer), and it also doesn't contain quite as many rockers as If I Can Dream.

Curtis Harding's new album „Face Your Fear“ is out October 27. New York Magazine already named the forthcoming album one of their most anticipated fall releases lauding Harding’s “scorching voice” while Clash UK hails recent new track “On and On” as “a blistering slice of dancefloor soul that recalls prime Curtis Mayfield and late 60s Motown.” The new album follows 2014’s Soul Power, on which Rolling Stone called Harding an “artist you need to know.”

Although Merle Haggard's early hits are widely available on a number of anthologies, for years his original albums have been out of print. Koch Records has begun to rectify this situation by rereleasing a number of Haggard's early Capitol albums. All are worth owning, but the best of them, „Swinging Doors And The Bottle Let Me Down“, may be the best place to start. Haggard's early albums bear the mark of an artist working out his public persona. He did not arrive as a fully formed star; even after his first hits, it took him a while to find his niche as the voice of blue-collar down-and-outers.

Let It All Out is one of Nina Simone's more adult pop-oriented mid-'60s albums, with renditions of tunes by Duke Ellington ('Mood Indigo'), Billie Holiday ('Don't Explain'), Irving Berlin ('This Year's Kisses'), and Rodgers & Hart ('Little Girl Blue'). As ever, Simone ranges wide in her selection: Bob Dylan's 'The Ballad of Hollis Brown,' a swaggering adaptation of 'Chauffeur Blues' (credited to her husband of the time, Andy Stroud), the gospel hymn 'Nearer Blessed Lord,' and Van McCoy's 'For Myself.' 'Images' is an a cappella adaptation of a poem about the beauty of blackness by Waring Cuney. All of Simone's Philips albums are solid, and this is no exception, while it isn't the best of them.

Gettin’ Ready is the fourth studio album by The Temptations for the Gordy (Motown) label released in 1966. It marks the transition of the group from having Smokey Robinson as its main producer, with new producer Norman Whitfield taking over Robinson’s position. Two #1 R&B hit singles, one from each producer, are included: “Get Ready” from Robinson with Eddie Kendricks on lead, and “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” from Whitfield with David Ruffin on lead. Also included is the original version of “Too Busy Thinking About My Baby”, which would be rerecorded as a hit for Marvin Gaye in 1969. The album was also one of the last albums to contain tracks co-authored by members of the group until the release of “The Temptations Do The Temptations” in 1976. As with previous Temptations albums, several songs are written by members of The Miracles: Smokey Robinson, Bobby Rogers, Pete Moore, Ronnie White, and Marv Tarplin.

Hammer And Nails is the American gospel, soul and R&B group. This album showcases the group in their Southern Gospel prime on the title track, ""Gloryland"" and ""Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen"". The group would go on to soul glory when they signed with Stax Records later in the decade but this is the group doing what they do best - gospel.

The Supremes Sing Holland–Dozier–Holland (issued in Europe as The Supremes Sing Motown) is the tenth studio album released by The Supremes for Motown in 1967. It includes the number-one hit singles 'You Keep Me Hangin' On' and 'Love Is Here and Now You're Gone'. As the title states: all songs on the album were written and produced by Motown's main songwriting team of Holland–Dozier–Holland. Most of the album was recorded during the spring and summer of 1966; however several songs date back to the summer of 1964. According to Motown data this LP sold over 1,525,000 copies in the USA alone.

Elevation Worship is the worship ministry of Elevation Church, a multi-site church based in Charlotte, NC, led by Pastor Steven Furtick. Their most recent album, "Here As In Heaven”, featuring the song “O Come To The Altar”, was named one of the top Christian music albums of 2016 by iTunes, Worship Leader Magazine, and others. On "Like a Lover," two of Venus Records' most popular jazz musicians got together for an excellent duo album. New York-based Australian singer/bassist Nicki Parrott and clarinet/tenor sax player Ken Peplowski are chief voices of their craftt. Both musicians bring something new to the music on this album thanks to their inventiveness. It's easy to see that Parrott and Peplowski's characteristics are superbly matched. The album is a collection of outstanding love songs that consist of mostly standards along with a few Lennon/McCartney tracks.

Ken Peplowski has become a household name in Japan, where Venus Records has released no less than three of his albums in recent years. On this release, the arrangements are varied, so the album doesn't feel monotonous. There are two versions of this album. One where Ken Peplowski plays the songs on tenor saxophone and another where he plays the songs on clarinet. This is the release where he plays clarinet. Peplowski's clarinet sounds are warm, attractive, and eloquent, while still rooted in the jazz tradition. His playing is so expressive that it's possible to almost hear the lyrics of each song when he plays the melody.
