2012 collection from the R&B trio. They emerged from the late '70s Disco boom and helped define the '80s with a string of dance floor hits, innovative dance moves (they introduced the UK to body-popping) and trend setting 'wedge' hairstyles. This collection includes their four UK Top 10 hits ('I Can Make You Feel Good', 'A Night to Remember', 'There It Is' and 'Dead Giveaway') plus a further seven UK top 40 classics.
Released by the U.K.'s Spectrum label in early 2012, I Can Make You Feel Good: The Best of Shalamar contains most of the group's biggest and most notable late-'70s and early-'80s hits, including "Uptown Festival," "Take That to the Bank," "Right in the Socket," "A Night to Remember," "There It Is," "Over and Over," "Dead Giveaway," and "Dancing in the Sheets." There are several Shalamar compilations on the market at any given point in time, and this is a decent one – one that should satisfy the group's casual fans. Shalamar were a phenomenal singles act, so it would be difficult for any catalog department to botch a single-disc anthology.Review by Andy Kellman, Allmusic.com
