    Indomitable artist and unique character, Andrés Calamaro is undoubtedly one of the essential creators of popular music in Spanish, from the times with Los Rodríguez and his subsequent rise with solo albums as memorable as "Honestidad Brutal," whose direct and electric rock style seems to evoke in this new release, "Bohemio." The title track itself suggests that 'bohemian is finding meaning in things in the shadows.' And the Rio de la Plata artist applies himself to that with passionate diligence.

    The past is left behind, enclosed, metabolized in "Bohemio," which breathes medium-paced rock with sharp sensitivity and inspired restraint. Over half an hour of truths like daggers, stubbornness, and depths, when it took a day and a half to capture his alter ego, "El Salmón." Could it be that these times of virtual chaos and absolute freebies call for surgical precision? Or perhaps the reason should be sought in a self-imposed revalidation that the performer undertakes to take a breath and face the future with clarity? "Bohemio" sounds like a self-practiced open-heart operation with playful cruelty and expressive economy. It can be appreciated from the first single in a pyramidal projection, "Cuando No Estás," which starts with a haunted whisper and rises to become an unrestrained anthem. Solitude is a bad advisor, Andrés suggests, but absence is not always forgetfulness; it can also be regeneration. And he is right.
