The Jesus and Mary Chain are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in East Kilbride in 1983. The band revolves around the songwriting partnership of brothers Jim and William Reid. Their debut album "Psychocandy" was released to critical acclaim in 1985 on major label WEA… The band went on to release five more studio albums before disbanding in 1999. They are reunited in 2007.

The Animals made an immediate impact on the US charts in 1964 with this self-titled debut, propelled by the number one hit single "The House Of The Rising Sun". The first of three Animals albums produced by Mickie Most (Herman’s Hermits, the Yardbirds, Donovan), The Animals has never been available in any digital format. Now remastered using transfers from the original first generation mono tapes, this reissue includes the full seven minute version of "Talkin’ ‘Bout You" as a bonus track.

"Animalization" is the fourth American album by British R&B group The Animals. It has a track listing somewhat similar to the British album "Animalisms". "Animalization" was released in the US in the summer of 1966 and hit the top 20, driven by three singles. The album introduced new Animals drummer Barry Jenkins, who shares drum credits with his predecessor, departing founding member John Steel. Now remastered using transfers from the original first generation mono tapes, this edition includes bonus stereo versions of three songs.

One of the only sessions tenor sax player Tina Brooks ever led during his short career, this 1960 recording features a superb studio lineup including trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, Duke Jordan on piano, Sam Jones on bass and Art Taylor on drums. An accomplished songwriter, Brooks wrote every tune here except for one.

Blues guitarist Robert Cray's double platinum breakthrough is included on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 best albums of the 1980s and remains one of the highest-charting blues album in history, peaking at number 13 on the Billboard mainstream album chart in 1987. A good part of the album's success was due to the hit single Smoking Gun which Rolling Stone called "a smoldering tale of jealousy and murder". This album won a 1988 Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Recording.

Thomas Dolby, the iconic '80s star whose smash hits ''She Blinded Me With Science'' and ''Hyperactive'' helped define the MTV generation/revolution, will break his 20-year silence with A Map of the Floating City. The album, featuring appearances by special guest artists Mark Knopfler, Regina Spektor, Natalie MacMaster, Bruce Woolley, Imogen Heap and Eddi Reader. Of the album, which is divided into three parts, Dolby says, "The new songs are organic and very personal. A Map of the Floating City is a travelogue across three imaginary continents: In Amerikana I'm reflecting with affection on the years I spent living in the U.S.A., and my fascination with its roots music. This is a fascinating programme from Dejan Lazic who had some interesting detective work tracking down the score of the Cramer. His sonata is wonderful music that deserves to be heard, and Dejan is a superb advocate for Clementi & Cramer as well as Beethoven.

Propaganda are a German synthpop group, formed in 1982. They were one of the initial roster of acts signed to Trevor Horn's ZTT label, between 1984 and 1986, during which they released the critically acclaimed album A Secret Wish.
