Since his CD Between Worlds (Prova Records), released in 2008, Andy Middleton has presented his most mature work to date with his latest recording Water and Sky (Panorama Records, 2023), an intelligently realized and beautiful lament on the threatened ecology of the world. The CD is dedicated to the climate crisis and continues an environmental theme that was already omnipresent on his first CD Acid Rain. The result is a deeply moving and heartfelt collection of original compositions that mixes influences from all over the world with American jazz and thus reflects the vibrations of the planet.
