Description
Would you like to learn common idioms, phrases, and proverbs, used by native English speakers? If so, this is the right course for you. As a teacher of more than 5 years, I have learned that there is a gap in English lessons regarding idioms and proverbs for conversational purposes. I hope that this course can be a start for many more.
The goal of this course is to teach you about common phrases, idioms, and proverbs used by native English speakers in everyday conversations. It focuses on growing your confidence so that you can use the phrases yourself in professional or casual conversations.
You will learn what these phrases mean and how to use them appropriately and correctly.
The lessons consist of listen and repeat sections, sections of applying knowledge in simple conversation simulations, and practical lessons. The practical chapters are where your understanding of the individual idiom or proverb will be tested. Without prompts or options, you will be asked to supply the correct phrase by yourself, and you will be encouraged to come up with the correct phrase for the situation presented on your screen.
Keeping things simple is important. This course is easy to follow and, at the end, you will have gained valuable English conversational skills.
