There was much anticipation ahead of Ironman Cairns this year - the Ironman debut of superstar Javier Gomez, the return of Mirinda Carfrae to Ironman racing post baby and one of the most impressive start lists, on the men's side, we've seen assembled on Australian shores. So often these ‘big' races don't live up to the hype, but Cairns certainly didn't disappoint. There were so many highlights from the race and you can catch a wrap up of all the action and more, in our Race in Images by the talented Korupt Vision (page 8) in the latest edition of the magazine. Did you take part in the event? Well, if yes, make sure you see if you made the cut in our Age Group Heroes (page 22) or if your social media post caught our attention in our InstaPics feature (page 18). As always, this mag is packed with greatness! Jodie Swallow talks with Tim Reed about being a reluctant role model (page 36), Megan Evoe caught up with Tim Don on his world record breaking race, that accident and the recovery (page 28), while AT’s Deputy, Margy Margs sits down with rising age group star, Madi Roberts ahead of her Ironman 70.3 age group world title assault in South Africa (page 44). Speaking of South Africa, Jordan Blanco gives you her tips for those travelling to the Ironman 70.3 World Championships this year (page 48). As always, we’ve got all your tech and training needs covered too! So grab your favourite brew and enjoy!
