Welcome to Soundscapism Inc., the solo project from Bruno A. (Vertigo Steps). music for the senses, music to lose yourself into, soundtracks for unmade movies.

Known in the music world foremostly for Vertigo Steps, Berlin-based Portuguese musician Bruno A. already has a long way in creating atmospheric, dark, experimental and melancholy music, draped as much in ambiance and emotion as in catchiness and groove, ever since the early days of (the now cult band) Arcane Wisdom.

After putting Vertigo Steps to rest, ca. 2014, the composer/multi-instrumentalist let his love for all things movie soundtracks, post-rock, dream-pop and acoustic music in general shine through and this brand new project was born: Soundscapism Inc. The compelling result was first presented with the self-titled released ,released in February 2016 through Ethereal Sound Works.

The ambitious, slightly conceptual, sophomore release "Desolate Angels" came out in January 2017. Featuring 13 tracks + a bonus track and almost 1 hour playing time, covering different styles, moods and instruments, from introverted ambient to all out epic post-rock, charged in ambiance and often electronic touches and with several vocalised tracks. It collected a lot of praise worldwide.

Two years after, “Touching Your Infinity” came out. Headed by advance-single “Kopfkino”, and consisting of tracks worked on the time in-between, as well as 2 covers and a rework of a previous song - the album was a moody and partially minimalistic affair, focusing on atmosphere and emotion.

Forward to Autumn 2020: enter "Afterglow of Ashes”. Created as the world lockdown arrived, between April and November of 2020, this showed the strongest and most ambitious venture for SInc. The album introduced many sound novelties, including incursions through electronica, 80s inspired synth pop, 70s organs as well as a newfound tendency for heavy, alternative rock. Together with the nostalgic post-rocky leanings and endless guitar melodies which were already a trademark.

As of 2022, Bruno A. actively returned to songcrafting and a surprisingly big and rocking mammoth of an album has emerged. Comprised of 12 tracks + a bonus track, it marks the first time working with a live drummer (the return of the mighty Daniel Cardoso - after collaborating in Vertigo Steps and Arcane Wisdom), as well as special vocal guest Amado Peiró. Once again, talented bass player Manuel Costa was involved, this time even co-penning one track. The album, which marks a great step forward both in sound and scope, honed upon for many months, with some of the catchiest, grooviest, and more epic material SInc have ever created, came out in Summer 2023, by the name of "STARING DOWN ON INCANDESCENT CITIES"!
