Manuel Leuenberger was born in 1988 in Thun, and found himself fascinated with music from an early age onwards.

The solo project from Dead Man Ray member Daan Stuyven, Daan is a dark, somewhat ironic electro- and rock-infused ensemble.

As well as composing, Holst held several significant teaching posts, the most important and longest-lasting of which was at St Paul's Girls' School; the Musical Directorship of this brought him joy and delight; it also provided solace in the form of his sound-proof room in the glorious Music Wing, into which he was able to retreat and gain the peace and quiet he required for composition. Holst - who threw himself wholeheartedly into the life of the school - gratefully composed a number of works specifically for the school and its pupils, including all the works presented on this disc.

On December 6, I'm very happy to announce that my debut studio album, "Processes", will be released through Boomslang Records on all streaming platforms and CD. I was lucky to record this with an amazing piano trio: Francisco Mela and Hidemi Akaiwa. "Processes" includes 10 pieces, exploring many different sounds, emotions, and forms. Mark your calendars!

The free-wheelin’ rock ‘n’ soul trio DeWolff have announced their new studio album ‘Muscle Shoals’, which was recorded at the legendary FAME Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, Alabama. The album will be released on 6 December via Mascot Records.

Rolf Kuhn's decades-long presence on the jazz scene was a stroke of luck and a gift. Rolf Kuhn was an exceptional artist, a German jazz musician of the highest caliber, one of the very few with international standing. Kuhn had no idea it would be his last recording when he met with his quartet at Berlin's Hansa Studio in late June 2022. In August that year he sadly passed away. His compositions, whether balladic or fast-paced and driving, always left room for what jazz meant to him: creating music together, letting it take flight through improvisation that thrived from listening and feeling.

Joe Henry’s 13th studio album “Invisible Hour”, recorded over four days in July 2013 at Henry's personal studio in California, tells a captivating story about resilience and the redemptive power of love.This record features several of his closest musical companions, including The Milk Carton Kids as well as Lisa Hannigan, who co-wrote the title track along with Henry and best-selling novelist Colum McCann. Now available on 180g black double vinyl for the first time, the 2024 reissue includes three special bonus tracks: Two alternate demo versions of “Slide” and “The Glorious Dead”, originally released on Henry’s 2017 record “Thrum”, as well as the previously unheard demo “News From The Great Wide World”.

Nick Drake's bucolic autumnal shades in his 1969 debut album heralded a new signing for Island Records: not traditional enough to be folk, not weird enough to be psychedelic, Drake avoided the pitfalls of what was expected and collaborated with producer Joe Boyd, orchestrator Robert Kirby and recording engineer John Wood to make a singular and almost unique record released to a largely indifferent media.

With every passing year, it becomes a little less accurate to say that Nick Drake has a cult following. Cults, by their very nature, tend to exist on the margins, the subject of their admiration unknown or even unloved by the vast majority of people. "Bryter Layter", Nick Drake’s second album, was released on Island Records in the UK in 1970. Like his debut album, it was engineered by John Wood and produced by Joe Boyd. All brass and string arrangements were by Robert Kirby, Nick’s vocals and guitar were augmented by Fairport Convention’s Richard Thompson on guitar, Dave Pegg on bass and Dave Mattacks on drums. John Cale contributed keyboards and viola, Ray Warleigh played viola and flute, Pat Arnold and Doris Troy added backing vocals, amongst others.
