Mediterranean Secrets, is part of a series of works dedicateci and inspired by the Mediterranean, its music and sounds, but also its stories, legendsand memories.An intimate and introspective journey, where the elements of this inspiration go through a process of deconstruction and reconstruction; being reborn in diffe rent forms; in some cases there are sounds clearly attributable to traditional sounds, in other cases this link is no longer perceptible, although it remains latent in the deep heart of the composition. The Mediterranean is a crossroads of cultures, sounds, colors, languages; in it different seas intertwine and merge, so in this album we find different languages, sounds and compositional forms. A path where the guitar is the protagonist, an instrument that in itself embodies the union of different cultures, which has always straddled multiple musical worlds, on a borderline that unites popular music and Western cultured music. The guitar is gradually joined by instruments belonging to the classica! and popular tradition s, such as strings, voices, percussion, bouzuky, guitar and elements of electronics . The compositional languagestarts from diatonie, modal sounds and gradual ly moves towards more complex harmonies and forms. In this case the term "secret" takes on different meanings: on the one hand there is that connection, sometimes impe rcept ible, of some songs with the Mediterranean roots; on the other, the predilect ion far the small form, the solo instrument or the small chamber ensemble, because "secrets" are something to be kept, and even if they can contain immense things, they must take on a small form to be safeguarded; and finally a reference to the inner dimension, that piace where secrets dwell and wait to be discovered.
