October 4th, we are meeting in Babylon to commemorate Mehmet Uluğ in the ninth year of his Decedence. The stage of “Volkan Öktem #7” at the Mehmet Uluğ Night, which is organized in every edition of the Akbank Jazz Festival. Öktem started playing drums and giving concerts at the age of 11 and has accompanied countless musicians from Tuna Ötenel to Tarkan, Sertab Erener to Aydın Esen both on stage and in the studio since the 1980s. Habbecik took part in versatile groups such as Laço Tayfa, Quartet Muartet, MadenÖktemErsönmez. Oktem, who will release the first single from his debut album “#7”, which he has prepared with his musical life savings, will release this project in September for the 32nd Mehmet Uluğ Night. He is taking it to the Akbank Jazz Festival. Volkan Oktem will be on the stage with his team consisting of Ercüment Orkut, Barış Doğukan Yazıcı, Halil Ibrahim Işık and Serhat Şensesli at the performance where we will listen to his repertoire, which will also include his compositions from the album, for the first time within the scope of the festival.
