„Natural Causes“ is the third studio album by American recording artist Skylar Grey. It is her second album since her stage name change from Holly Brook to Skylar Grey.

Grey announced 'Natural Causes' on August 15 (before the album releases by a month). In this album Grey said she wanted to return back to her roots.The album was written/recorded in Grey's house in Utah which she calls 'Grizzly Manor Studios' “The title Natural Causes is a play on words,” she explains. she said the idea behind the album name that its caused by Nature, as all of the songs she wrote by the inspiration of nature living in Utah and the beauty around her. Stepping out of her comfort zone sonically on the record, Grey for the first time ever picks up the mic and raps during album cuts 'Lemonade' and 'Picture Perfect,' her 'personal favorite.' “Instead of having a rapper jump on these songs, I wanted to do my own rapping,” She says. At first grey confirmed there will be no guest features on the album but in the last minute, She reunites with her 'Love The Way You Lie' collaborator Eminem, who produced 'Come Up For Air,' over a Questlove-helmed jazz shuffle of drums, and was featured on a song on her album entitles 'Kill For You'. Grey's Natural Causes finds the artist collaborating with top producers including Alex Da Kid (Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors), Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Fiona Apple), Mark Batson (Jay Z, Dave Matthews Band) and Symbolic One (Kanye West, Beyonce).
