Debt collector Lucek Bohme is a powerful figure in Walbrzych, Poland. The best in the business, Lucek has no qualms about collecting from anyone who owes money—even the destitute. Once, he even re-possessed medical equipment from the only hospital in town, undermining the health and safety of all. KOMORNIK follows two days in the life of Lucek, whose world is turned upside down after his determination to do his job at all costs results in tragedy.

There they meet Rodrigo (Armendáriz Jr.) the doctor's son, a handsome and free-spirited young man for whom Berenice falls in love.
