The Vero Software, a part of Hexagon, is pleased to announce the availability of Edgecam 2024.1 (2447) is a market-leading computer aided manufacturing (CAM) system for NC part programming.
Introducing EDGECAM 2024.1: Elevating CNC Operations
The latest release, EDGECAM 2024.1, revolutionizes turning, milling, and WireEDM operations by introducing advanced features aimed at improving productivity and reducing manual interventions. This new version brings high-level machine utilization and production scaling, with a specific focus on electric vehicles and aerospace industries.
Key Highlights
- The Race Line Finishing Cycle (Preview) targets electric vehicle production, while the addition of Multiaxis Machining and Rotary Machining revolutionizes five-axis operations. Significant enhancements for milling operations include improved chip prevention, air machining prevention, better cut increments, and fixture avoidance.
- Rough milling cycle witness introductions like SWARF Clearance, enabling better tool management by tool life, and turning enhanced grooving with a new modifier. Wire EDM operations benefit from smart tag removal and triangular tags, intended to prevent premature detachment of cut pieces.
- In essence, EDGECAM 2024.1 fuses enhanced control and smart toolpath separation, delivering efficient, agile, and precision-based CNC programming.
