Chaos has released V-Ray 7, hotfix 2 (7.00.02) for Rhino, the latest version of the renderer. This release includes Improvements and fixes to various user-reported issues from the previous release, providing an overall more stable experience.

Improvements & Bug Fixes
- Added support for Rhino 9 (WIP)
- A number of useful links are added to the V-Ray / Help menu - Chaos Academy, Chaos Forum, Support Request and Ideas Portal
- The appearance of the Tri-Planar texture viewport preview is improved
- ‘Make Unique’ and ‘Select Instances’ buttons are added to the V-Ray Properties panel of the Proxy Mesh, Proxy Scene, and Cosmos Asset
- Texture Mapping size is now correctly updated during Interactive rendering
- An issue preventing successful silent installation is resolved
- A custom Viewport Texture bitmap is no longer set unnecessarily when migrating older scenes
- An issue with the parameters of the vrayCosmos command is resolved. The Disconnect parameter is now correctly listed
- An issue preventing Outline material attribute from working correctly when combined with a Translucency attribute is resolved
- An issue with the uninstaller Quit page styling is resolved
- The rendered appearance of Clearcoat of the Rhino Physically Based material is improved
- An issue causing missing texture files when rendering RPC objects is resolved
- An issue preventing rendering of specific .ply file containing Gaussian Splats is resolved
- An issue leading to a crash after loading multiple projects in the V-Ray Batch Render panel is resolved
- An issue leading to a crash when adjusting the Area Modifier parameters of Scatter during interactive rendering is resolved
- An issue leading to a crash when accessing the Rhino Materials panel while Vantage is live-linked is resolved
- Grasshopper: An issue preventing referencing a Cosmos material in the Material from File component is resolved
- The Firefly Removal option is now hidden while the GPU engine is selected and greyed out while Progressive rendering is used, indicating that it has no effect with these configurations
- A number of tooltips are updated
- An issue preventing the submission of vrscene files for Cloud Batch rendering is resolved
- An issue causing the Max Subdivs value to double when switching between CUDA and RTX GPU engine options is fixed
- An issue causing the output resolution of Cloud Batch render images to be incorrectly overridden is resolved
