Ronny Johansson are in the top layer of the Swedish jazzpianister. He made his debut at a concert with Eric Dolphy in 1961 and came to Gothenburg in 1972 for studies at the academy of music. After graduation worked Ronny there as a piano teacher until retirement in 2009. In the seventies, he played a part in the Artdur, current Nefertiti, among other things.a. Warne Marsh and Red Rodney in 1975. Then followed some years with Mount Everest (LP:n Jazz in Sweden -79). He led the private quartet of the eighty century, but from 1995 it has consisted of trio games with Yasuhito Mori and Raymond Karlsson, among others.a. two tours in Japan and six were released on CD. In total there have been thirteen albums in his own name.

MANHATTAN is the result of a skivprojekt to celebrate filled 75! It was groovy and relaxed in a session, together with Rolf Jardemark, Matz Nilsson and Michael Andersson, where Rolf was a new acquaintance, while Matz and Michael spelkompisar from the eighty century. We get to hear both their own songs and some standards of Konitz, Monk, and Shorter. All of the personal district, of which a part easy funky with the place of Rolf's synthgitarr, master, Matz Nilsson elbasspel and Michael Andersson's amazing congaspel.
