    Oliver Pellet is an excellent guitarist currently based in Switzerland. His playing embraces the melodies and feel of his brazilian heritage while he explores modern jazz territory with a great fire. Keep your ears on what’s to com from this guy.


    Oliver Pellet is a guitarist, composer and teacher currently based in Switzerland. He was born in Brazil were he grew up and started his career as a musician. He started by taking private guitar lessons and attending workshops and festivals in south Brazil. Some of this teachers were: Aquiles Faneco, Mario Conde, Heraldo do Monte, Nelson Faria, Lula Galvão, Alexandre Carvalho, Vittor Santos, and many others. In 2009 he graduated Bachelor in Music at the Parana University in Curitiba. During this time he worked with some great musicians from the Brazilian scene such as: Proveta, Teco Cardoso, Lea Freire, Roberto Sion, Thiago do Espirito Santo, and many others. In 2010 he attended a Summer Program at the New York University where he had the opportunity to study with great NYC musicians such as: Jonathan Kreisberg, Bruce Arnold, Tony Moreno, Mark Withfield, Ralph Lalama, Billy Drewes, Rey Abbasi, Lage Lund, among others. In 2011 he releases his first album as a leader, “Unterwegs”, with the collaboration of more than 40 musicians such as Seamus Blake, Lea Freire, João Paulo Ramos Barbosa, Mario Conde, Glauco Sölter and Rodrigo Botter Maio. In 2012 he moves to Europe to study with Wolfgang Muthspiel at the Hochschule für Musik Basel and graduates with excellence on 2014. During this time he studied with some of the best teachers of the scene such as: Guillermo Klein, Aydin Esen, Larry Grenadier, Alex Sipiagin, Domenic Landolf, Malcolm Braff and many others. Since then he played at some of the most prestigious jazz clubs and festivals of Europe such as: The Birds Eye jazz Club, BIX Jazz Club, Birdland Jazz Club, Dracula Club, Offbeat Jazz Festival, Bscene Basel, Festival da Jazz St. Moritz and many others. He has been active on the scene playing with renowned musicians like Tony Lakatos, Marcio Bahia, E.S.T. Symphony, Alex Sipiagin, Domenic Landolf, just to name a few. In 2017 comes out his second album as a leader “Himmel und Erde” wich he recorded in Brazil and in Basel and presents some of his newest compositions.
