Hot Like Dynamite was conceived over the thousands of kilometers traveled during Yarol Poupaud's first solo tour and completed at the legendary Parisian studio Motorbass.

It all starts in the summer of 2019, between two concerts, with a break with Victor Mechanik, the 28-year-old multi-instrumentalist with an electric aura who accompanies Yarol on keyboards. In the corner of the countryside where they put their bags, a barn converted into a studio makes them eye. Warmed to white by the sequence of dates, the two musicians immerse themselves for whole nights in a tense, intense and dancing sound, infused with the energy of the road. One-on-one in this isolated studio, they go in search of a less systematic writing, less agreed melodic schemes. They take off the tracks to turn each track into a surprise cover.
