Diese CD ist eine Hommage an den Komponisten Ronald Stevenson, der vor allem für seine Klaviermusik bekannt ist (er war selbst ein virtuoser Pianist), doch sein umfangreiches Werk umfasst die meisten Gattungen außer der Oper. Auf dieser CD sind alle seine Werke für Blockflöte zu hören, dazwischen einige seiner Lieder in ganz unterschiedlichen Stilen mit Klavier- und Instrumentalbegleitung. Diese CD enthält alle seine Werke für Blockflöte, durchsetzt mit einigen seiner Lieder in den verschiedensten Stilen mit Klavier- und Instrumentalbegleitung. Stevensons schottische Komponistenfreunde waren zahlreich, und diese CD enthält Musik von mehreren von ihnen, David Johnson, John Purser, Wilma Paterson und Eddie McGuire. Auch in Übersee hatte er viele Freunde, darunter vor allem Grainger, dessen Musik Stevenson teilweise für verschiedene Instrumente arrangierte. Grainger selbst hat im Haus seines Freundes Balfour Gardiner zwei bezaubernde Versionen der bekannten und beliebten Country Gardens für Blockflöten aufgenommen, die den Abschluss dieser CD bilden und die bisher noch nicht zu hören waren.
