Tori Kelly (born December 14, 1992, Wildomar, Riverside, California, USA) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. She received recognition at the age of 14 after posting her videos on YouTube. At the age of 16, Kelly passed a musical casting for the TV show American Idol. After dropping out of the show, Kelly began working on her own music and in 2012 released her first self-produced, written and mixed EP, titled "Handmade Songs By Tori Kelly". The following year, after watching her YouTube videos, Scooter Braun became Kelly's manager. He led her to the label Capitol Records, with which she signed a contract in September 2013. The singer's second EP was Forewordruen, released in October 2013 as her first release on a major label. On June 23, 2015, Kelly's first album, Unbreakable Smileruen, was released. The lead single, Nobody Loveruen, was released in the spring and became her first song to hit the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. Kelly was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist at the 58th Grammy Ceremony.
