Who does not know “Pictures At An Exhibition”? I think very few. This time I leave part of the legacy of Tomita. Again it possess flawless execution and careful use of the sounds of old synths and wonderful Mellotron.
The history of this concert by Modest Mussorgsky, I have it as a memory of all Russian children’s literature (witches, goblins and castles). Mussorgsky, inspired by the recent exposure of a friend, conceives an idea of what will be his next concert (and one of the most famous).
Something to say: ELP’s work on this concert earned them a fame jump, as well as those who returned out of the shadows of this great composer.
