Improse is a closed-door musical experience, an improvised pianistic work on the moment, without any preparation or guide wire, except that of Thierry Eliez's insatiable imagination. A continuous and exciting dialogue between the piano and his pianist, between the freedom of jazz and the lyricism initiated by the French Music of Messiaen, Ravel, Debussy, Satie … "Improvising alone is also improvising free, we can give up all kind of attachment, be it harmonic, rhythmic, human or technical "Thierry Eliez records an album between dog and wolf, prose and improvisation, between impressionism, surrealism and Jazz. "And it is the meeting of two classical music which operates involuntarily, one out of the jazz and the American music, the other French, visited by the floating auras of Ravel, Messiaen, Satie, Debussy, Dutilleux, … A contemporary, spontaneous musical reading in unison with two major legacies that are deeply inscribed in the imagination of Thierry Eliez. Improse gets rid of the straitjacket of structure, harmony and the measure of time to deepen the substance rather than the form. Freed from the shackles of reason and conscience, Thierry Eliez launches himself into the creation of spontaneous paintings, applying to music the concept of automatic writing dear to the surrealists. A game to which this immense pianist likes to lend himself, for whom the simultaneous presence of two parallel and independent movements is nothing but an opportunity to overcome the invisible borders of free creation and imagination.
