House With An "R" dips into the archives of the legendary underground punk jazz trio – The Dead Kenny Gs – presenting two shows from June 2011 touring in support of Primus: The Fillmore in Miami Beach on June 4, 2011 and Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on June 7, 2011.
Comprised by Skerik (saxophones/efx), Mike Dillon (drums/vibes/percussion), and Brad Houser (bass), the album's title pays tribute to their late bassist who passed unexpectedly in July 2024.
Among the 24 tracks performed here are DKGs' classics like "Black Truman," "Devil's Playground," "Kill the Poor" and "Black Budget" from albums/EPs like 'Operation Long Leash,' 'Bewildered Herd,' and 'Gorelick.'
