Ron Magril - Until Now (2022) [Official Digital Download 24/96]

Debut album of the Israeli guitarist with modern hard bop sounds Ron is an aspiring jazz guitarist and composer from Tel Aviv. He began his musical journey when his grandfather taught him to play the violin and at the age of 10 he finally fell in love with the guitar, which remains his main instrument to this day.

Ron was inspired by the sound of hard bop of the 1950s and 1960s. His music and his songs seek to recreate the mood and sound of that genre while evolving in a modern way - a blend of old and new
He is currently a student at The New School in New York, where he was awarded a scholarship in 2018. "I firmly believe that 'Until Now' accurately describes who I am - as a musician and as a person," he says of his debut album.

"When the pandemic started and I had to leave my new home in New York, I went back to Tel Aviv. Those were hard days for me. Feeling that emptiness and depression made me realize how passionate I am about recording my music and playing it live, and I knew it was finally time to record my debut album and play my music again."
