Roberto Negro is one of the key figures of Tricollectif, a movement of particularly active French musicians. A graduate of the Conservatoire de Chambéry, Roberto Negro took classes with Benoît Delbecq, the pianist of Kartet. It is part of an impressive number of formations from this collective off the beaten track: La Scala, quartet very oriented contemporary classical music, with Théo Ceccaldi (vl), his brother Valentin (cello) and Adrien Chenebault (dm); Garibaldi Plop with Valentin Ceccaldi and Sylvain Darrifourcq (dm); Kimono with Christophe Monniot (as); Loving Suite for Birdy So ​​with Elise Caron (voc) and a string quintet but also Les Metanuits, duet with Emile Parisien dedicated to G. Ligeti's quartets.

As often, Roberto Negro used an "extra-musical substratum" to compose: here, it is about the painter Miro who inspired to the pianist of origin Turin of "nocturnal and dreamlike themes with the imperceptible fluctuations": twelve original compositions of 2 to 6 minutes 30 which are declined as the "episodes of a television series" and with the title of the names of characters.

Themes with a fast tempo (Bagatelle, or this Nano with free hints) or slow (Shampoo with electronic effects), close to contemporary classical music (Gloria and the poetess, The vanishing of Sally Queen) or that take on an air of merengue d Latin America (This is a merengue). Air melodies that magnify the voluble soprano of Parisien (Sangu) or voltigeuses (Rudi, beautiful piano-soprano dialogue reminiscent of Loos-Houben). Always with an inventive contribution of Michele Rabbia (subtle game of brooms on Sangu, various rattles of small percussions on Tom Thumb and some electronic effects on Shampoo or Behind the scene).
