For the album "Les Flexibles" pianist Rihards Pleshanovs has carefully chosen close and important pages of contemporary piano music by Latvian and foreign composers.
Rihards Pleshanovs reveals about the idea of the album and the choice of content in the program "on the way with the classics" on Latvian Radio 3 "classics": "the first source of the idea for the program came in 2017. and in exactly the order in which this music is strung on the album. When 2020. a pandemic came in a year – – like everyone else-I decided to realize something new in my profession, because the possibilities for performing concerts were limited. I included retrospective compositions in the album program, to which I occasionally return again. Hence the name - "Les Flexibles" - expresses flexibility towards these pieces and the desire to find something new in them again."
