The adventure is new, a record recorded in December 2017, in the Alps, mixed in New York in June 2018, and released at the end of March 2019.
But the connivance is old between the pianist Laurent Coq and the singer guitarist Ralph Lavital, with several records and concerts on three continents.
The project proceeds in multiple worlds : The Caribbean, pop and jazz music, creole and French for the language.
Musically, it is very elaborate: a sort of jazz-fusion very intelligent. You can also feel the perfumes of progressive rock, with this pronounced taste, very mastered, of chromatism. And then somewhere else, a melancholy of brazilian bossa ; and the smell of Zouk metamorphosed, in His Ki Sav.
A very collective game, with tickets for each soloist. All sing in the chorus, but the first voice is that of the guitarist, expressive, warm and nuanced. Convincing, certainly.
