Lueurs is a wonderful recording, remarkable for its originality, the quality of its elements and its successful blend. This recording was produced with Fidelio Music, internationally recognized for the exceptional sound quality of its productions which are much appreciated by audiophiles all over the world. He also included a string quartet on 11 songs, 5 of them inspired by the impressionist era, and 6 original songs. The album includes 9 songs. This adds a majestic sonority and makes for an interesting hybrid: a repertoire from a precise era (1850-1925), a sound fitting this particular era with the string quartet, but voiced with a modern jazz language… which is the nature of this project.

Pascal Tremblay, saxophonist, composer and arranger leads a remarkable jazz quartet of reknown musicians comprised of guitarist Sylvain Provost, double bassist Frdric Alarie and drummer Jean-Francois Barbeau. For the Lueurs project, Tremblay has augmented this lineup in order to interpret his original compositions and arrangements inspired by impressionistic era melodies. Nothing less than the respected Claudel-Canimex string quartet, joins the core ensemble on this project.

'A remarkable project… This original concept showcasing the talent of eight exceptional musicians, deserves to be heard by many more ears.' (Henri Prévost, Quebecor Medias)
