Mark Lettieri is known for his tight, aggressively grooving rhythm game, whether in the service of GRAMMY-winning band Snarky Puppy, the Fearless Flyers or on his six solo albums and has found the perfect algorithm for funk.

He merges the influences of rhythm and rock guitar icons of the 70s and 80s like Prince and Eddie Van Halen with far - reaching inspirations from George Clinton and P-funk, Chuckii Booker, Periphery, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan and others.

The Fort Worth, Texas-based musician has played his way into the consciousness of the funkateers with his razor-sharp licks since joining Snarky Puppy in 2008. "Deep: The Baritone Sessions Vol. 2 "shows the width and depth of Lettieri's" nasty " funk.

Drummer Nate Smith, a bandmate with the Fearless Flyers, is on hand, along with guests such as sensational singer Jacob Collier, former Prince drummer Taron Lockett, keyboardists Bobby Sparks and Justin Stanton, and Rascal Flatts pedal Steel guitarist Travis Toy, saxophonist Keith Anderson, French harmonica ace Frédéric Yonnet, Lettuce and ex-John-Scofield-Drummer Adam Deitch, Ghost note drummer Robert "Sput" Searight, Snarky Puppy keyboardist Shaun Martin and special guest guitarist Steve Lukather.
