His new offering “Southern Echoes” is a vibrant tribute to the golden age of these styles without being out of date, or a bland copy of his mentors. It’s today’s vision of times and places anchored in this music, kind of “Muscle Shoals and Memphis revisited” by an artist so deeply immersed into southern music whose powerful and moving voice paints colourful pictures in the 15 songs included (mostly his own) that rank him as “a top notch songwriter and a poet as well” (Blues News).

Leadfoot Rivet is always balancing between wry and witty humour and insightful feelings, depicting life’s ups and downs with a forte on southern topics and imagery.
