"Block" is the second single from Johan Lindvall Trio's forthcoming album "END", which will release on November 22nd. With its shuffling and meandering around a wistful theme, “Block” is the perfect accompaniment to gazing out on a cold grey day from a warm room. It marks a tonal shift for the trio towards a darker, more contemplative sound that permeates the forthcoming "END".

Swedish Johan Lindvall is a master at creating lingering tonal patterns in which sonic structures are not just a passive product, but a contributing player. This is music that you can walk into, where you can find unknown caves and spaces, and find new acoustic images on the sonic walls. His trio with Adrian Myhr on bass and Andreas Winther on drums stands out in the Norwegian flora of jazz piano trios, more akin to contemporary musical quirks and structures than to jazz Sturm und Drang.
