Jotter - the title of our new album already contains a hint of innovations compared to the four previous ones: In addition to arrangements of Bach works, five of our own compositions are now joined this time by a sonata by Domenico Scarlatti, and two titles feature clarinet and bass clarinet.

Since 2006, Blue Note Bach, an exciting crossover project by the Bremen jazz pianist Jens Schöwing, has been interpreting the music of J.S. Bach in a variety of ways in different ensembles and programs.

The ensemble has played at numerous jazz festivals in the past, such as the Jazzahead, but is also a welcome guest at organizers of classical concerts. Invitations from Bach societies document the seriousness and the artistic value of the arrangements.
