Zieh Mich Aus continued with the sound already established in Gilla's first release, Willst du mit mir schlafen gehn?,
Like the previous album Frank Farian's fingerprints are all over this material.
The title track opens the collection and sounds like a light weight Eruption, another Farian product, it chugs along nicely enough.
Machen Wir's In Liebe is really just the Girl From Ipanema with German lyrics - supper club pop music and certainly not memorable.
Herrn-Besuche Nicht Erlaubt is a welcome return to Gilla's preferred style of punchy rock- disco with great chant-like lyrics. It all works very well as it ramps up the tempo - even the later English version, Gentlemen Callers Not Allowed, is just as great. Farian here takes on the low male voice which was fast becoming his trademark contribution to Gilla as well as would be to Boney M..
Johnny is a track that again sees Farian doing his deep male voice thing while the overall feel is not dissimilar to the earlier The Three Degrees. Pleasant but just not enough.
Was Vorbei Ist, Ist Vorbei is quite awful. A patronising sounding intro leads into Gilla trying her best to keep a straight face. Avoid like the plague.

Now this album gets interesting due to the flurry of tracks coming up:
Kein Mann Weit Und Breit (Boney M. – No Woman No Cry)
Sunny
Belfast
Rasputin
are all the first Farian try outs at these famous Boney M. tracks. The backing tracks are basically the same as used by Boney M. with some minor changes and of course here they are all sung in German. They are all pretty good earlier versions especially Rasputin but there IS something missing. What makes the Boney M. versions stand out is Farian's ability to blend the voices of Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett as well as with his own synthetic falsetto voice. That would be the game changer along with the English lyrics.
The flow of these famous tracks is interrupted by Der Strom Der Zeit – a rather pointless slowing down of this side of the album. Of all the slower tracks by Gilla this one is by far the best but its placing on this album is, well, weird but there you go it is what it is.
Cigarillo closes this collection and its another slower track that would not be out of place at some supper club or variety show.
So this closes Gilla's German language career as on future releases she would primarily sing in English. It would also be the end of her fore-shadowing of Boney M. songs.
