Flávia Dantas is a singer and a songwriter. She has this sweet and beautiful voice that pleases everybody everywhere. She released her first CD in 2012 (only with her own songs), which has a very Brazilian sonority, full of bossa and swing: music to hear and to dance. In addition to her authorial work, she sings the traditional repertoire of Bossa Nova and Samba, in many formations such as voice and guitar duet; quintet with voice, guitar, bass, drums and saxophones. Flávia also sings in a popular orchestra: The Carioca Orchestra of Samba. Her main references are Nara Leão, Joao Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Vinicius de Moraes, João Donato, Dorival Caymmi, etc.

The Carioca Orchestra of Samba unites traditional samba instruments such as guitar, cavaquinho and tambourine to a small horn section, typical formation of Big Band Jazz, always favoring a Brazilian sound. In its repertoire, there are songs and instrumental pieces of important composers such as Assis Valente, Noel Rosa, Ary Barroso, Dorival Caymmi, Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, and also compositions of news composers like Edu Krieger, Jacobina Rubens and others.
