Her Carole King-meets-Gladys Knight sound is particularly impressive on highlights like 'Mr. Magic' and 'Feelin' That Glow.' Helping out with the stellar backing are such luminaries as vocalist Patti Austin, drummer Alphonze Mouzon, keyboardist Bob James, and guitarist Hugh McCracken.
