In the program 'PICTURES IN SOUNDS', the musicians present the pianist, composer and arranger Ekkehard Wölk in their diverse and expressive original compositions, which are often influenced by non-musical motifs from literature, film, nature considerations and the like. are inspired and live translated into the sonorous language of rousing contemporary improvised music - a stimulating listening and concert experience!

The Ekkehard Wölk Trio / Quartet has already performed successfully at numerous well-known festivals. a. at the Bachfest Leipzig, the Würzburger Bachtagen, the MDR Musiksommer as well as at the Kurt Weill Festival Dessau. The trio have released three CDs in Germany and Italy (Splasch Records) in the last three years. In addition, Wölk / Fink / Marcelli have performed various radio recordings over the last four years. a. at Deutschlandradio, RBB, Bayerischer Rundfunk and WDR.
