Internationally renowned jazz funk group Beat Function has after a number of radio listings in the US and Canada, international tours and collaborations with star singers of different genres on six acclaimed albums returned to the roots as an instrumental group. At Fasching, they make an official release concert after a long Germany tour for their new and seventh album "Roots" which is released digitally and as an exclusive double-vinyl release on Friday 29 November. Beat Function is the band that revives the time span 1968-1975 in both sound and style through its own carpentry dance floor funk seasoned with hot jazz improvisation and psychedelia. As American reviewer Robert Sutton wrote: “Imagine a well-honed jazz act schooled by James Brown and Parliament. That, in essence, is Beat Function ”. Bite Beat Function fans know that it will be a high heart rate, high temperature and hard to sit still this evening.
