Beauty, joy of life, spontaneity, naturalness, la dolce vita, good food, fun, lightness, freedom, nature, femininity, pureness, and of course, the sweet detail of a red cat that skillfully sneaks into the picture time and time again. Photographed by Rosalynn Sundahl, a fashion photographer from The Netherlands, starring the two gorgeous models Megan van Zijp and Nathalja Roose. In her own words, she tells us about the creation of this wonderful series:
“‘Midsummer Diaries’ was shot in Cotignac, a small French town in the Provence. Megan and Nathalja are close friends and visited me during my work trip in France. Along with videographer Karlijn Tiebot, we set out to have a girl’s trip in the Provence. It was my intention to capture the essence of sisterhood, true friendship and the feeling of summer. Growing up in a household consisting of mostly females, I feel very much at home with an all-girls-team and was happy to be able to give Megan and Nathalja some authentic captures from our trip. I loved shooting a story that’s real and beautiful, a chemistry that didn’t need staging or strong directing.”
