“Photography is a nice way of spending time. I mostly aim for natural beauty of models. I really care about the specific, sleepy mood. I take photos rather slowly. It takes me some time to figure things out, then I set the camera, and I observe.” explains Polish photographer Mateusz Hajman about his way of shooting. In his latest story he asked model Marta in front of his lense and creates an intimate, tranquil mood. “I am around the model when she has her clothes on, when she gets undressed, when we’re taking a break, and when she puts her clothes back on. I get the close, “backstage’ view on all that. Perhaps it is this quiet, monotonous way of taking those photos what causes the sleepiness effect. This whole process comes as natural to me. Once in a while, I grab my camera and I photograph what I enjoy: light and girls.”
