Alicia Amanda Vikander (born 3 October 1988) is a Swedish actress and dancer. She began her career by appearing in Swedish television shows and movies, most notably playing one of the leads in the popular TV drama Andra Avenyn (2007–2010). She made her feature film debut in the film Pure (2010), for which she won the Guldbagge Award for Best Actress. Vikander gained international attention when she appeared in the 2012 adaptation of Anna Karenina, co-starred in the Academy Award nominated Danish film A Royal Affair (2012) and in the Julian Assange biopic The Fifth Estate (2013). In 2015, she gained public recognition for her starring roles in the films Testament of Youth, Ex Machina and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
