Da questo ricchissimo patrimonio, veicolato da una quantità di cantori che ci restano sconosciuti, emergono e sono pervenuti fino a noi due poemi, che la tradizione antica ha attribuito ad Omero, l’Iliade e l’Odissea. Di questi due capolavori tutte le culture occidentali hanno voluto impadronirsi, traducendoli nelle più diverse lingue. Oggi anche il milanese è tra queste. Dopo quella dell’Odissea, presentiamo oggi la prima traduzione completa dell’Iliade, sperando che. oltre a quello per il capolavoro di Omero, rinnovi l’amore per la nostra tradizione linguistica.
