Description
Kyusho-Jitsu is a martial art that focuses on the targeted use of the body's vital points. It is based on the knowledge of acupressure and nerve points in order to weaken the opponent through precise attacks. The techniques include both pressure and striking techniques that target the most sensitive points in the body. Kyusho-Jitsu is often used as a complement to traditional martial arts such as karate or judo. By using these techniques, a defender can overpower a stronger opponent in a fight even with little strength. An important part of Kyusho-Jitsu is understanding the anatomy and functioning of the body. This martial art requires not only physical skills, but also a deep knowledge of the body's energetic and nervous connections. In Kyusho-Jitsu, the vital points of the body are divided into four quadrants, each comprising specific zones with specific acupuncture and nerve points. Each quadrant is associated with a different energy or function of the body so that attacks can be targeted to these areas. Understanding these quadrants helps to maximize the effectiveness of the techniques and neutralize the opponent efficiently. In ancient China, there was the Quadrants system whose characteristic was to combine different polarities to objects and living organisms. In medicine, such as in martial arts, the system of Quadrants was used to divide the body (and body parts) in Yin and Yang areas. This way, a fighter could use this ancestral method to destroy more effectively the body of his opponent, using the right polarities Quadrants both for his attack and the stricken area. This system, long forgotten Westerners, is unveiled today by Jean-Paul Bindel and his students, through a complete program made for both beginners and Kyusho Jitsu experts.
